See CPU, memory, storage and battery from the Mac menu bar
Short answer: Activity Monitor shows everything but lives in its own window. For a quick look from the menu bar, Pikori's free System tab shows CPU, memory, storage, battery, temperature and network on one screen.
The built-in ways
- Activity Monitor (Applications › Utilities): CPU, memory, energy, disk and network, per app.
- System Settings › General › Storage: how full your disk is.
- Battery in the menu bar: charge level.
They are spread across three places, and none shows battery temperature.
Pikori's System tab
Click Pikori in the menu bar and open System:
- CPU load and memory in use, with GB used of the total.
- Storage used, out of the total.
- Battery charge and battery temperature, labelled Normal, Warm or Hot.
- Network download and upload speed as a small graph, and your local IP address.
Bars turn yellow and then red as a value gets high. The numbers update every 2 seconds while the tab is open, and Pikori stops measuring when it is closed, so it costs almost nothing in the background.
Also in the same panel
The other tabs show your Claude Code and Codex limits, today's calendar, a to-do list and your recent copies. One free app instead of several.
